Meiners Oaks Real Estate
Description
Meiners Oaks, a community replete with Oak trees, was named after "John
Meiner," a Milwaukee banker, who owned the original parcel of land in
this area. As it happens, the property was acquired sight
unseen as the result of an unpaid debt, and he only came to visit and
ultimately build a ranch for his residence there after a friend told
him of the area's incredible natural beauty.
Today, Meiners Oaks' natural beauty is preserved by the many Oak
trees that are still standing alongside homes that were built in the
second half of the 20th century as the community's population expanded.
Population & Demographics
The population of Meiners Oaks is 3,750 with a gender breakdown of 50.7% Female and 49.3% Male based on the year 2000 census.
Housing Statistics
In 2000 there were an estimated 1325 housing units, of which 65.9% were owner-occupied and 34.1% were renter occupied.
